In line with its mission to support and advance optometry in Sudan, the Sudanese Optometry Society (SOS) is pleased to announce an academic collaboration with the IVORC Academic Foundation and their affiliated Medical Hypothesis, Discovery & Innovation in Optometry Journal (ISSN: 2693-8391).

This partnership aims to foster collaboration in scientific research, academic education, professional development, scientific mentorship, and capacity building. It will also focus on training in scientific writing, research ethics, and publishing, as well as facilitating knowledge exchange and opening new horizons in scientific research.

This step reflects the Society’s firm belief in the vital role of scientific research, the importance of fostering an advanced scientific and professional environment, and the need to provide broader opportunities for Sudanese professionals—both inside Sudan and abroad—to actively contribute to research and development in optometry.

We look forward to this partnership serving as a catalyst for building a generation equipped for research, publishing, innovation, and knowledge exchange—ultimately elevating the optometry profession in Sudan and the region.
