The Sudanese Optometry Society, represented by its Vice President Dr. Saif Alrasheed, participated in the 5th World Optometry Conference and the American Optometric Association (AOA) Conference held in Minnesota, USA.
During the event, the Society took part in the official ceremony marking the inauguration of the new President of the World Council of Optometry (WCO). The Association also attended the launch of the 6th World Optometry Conference, which will be held for the first time in the Eastern Mediterranean region(EMR), under the patronage of the Saudi Society of Optometry.
In addition, the Sudanese Optometry Society, through its Vice President, held a collaborative meeting with the American Optometric Association to explore avenues for joint cooperation. A separate meeting was also conducted with VOSH International to initiate the process of affiliating the Sudanese Optometry Society with the organization, aiming to enhance community service efforts in Sudan.
